What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer an enquiry, plan a session, and deliver the work.
That may include your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give one, the names of people in a booking, event dates and locations, session details, styling notes, invoices and payment records, and messages you send us.
If you book a wedding, family or brand session, we may also hold a timeline, guest details you send us, and photographs from the day. Photographs of identifiable people are personal information.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, religion or government identifiers. Please do not include these in a form unless you need us to know them for the session.
If you browse the site, our host or analytics tools may collect technical data such as your browser, device, pages visited and a general location derived from an IP address.

How we collect it
We collect information when you fill in a form, email us, message us, book through HoneyBook, pay an invoice, or give us details while planning a session. We may also receive your name and email if someone else includes you in a booking, for example as a partner or a wedding contact.

Why we use it
We use personal information to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and contracts, take bookings and payments, plan and photograph sessions, deliver galleries, and keep business records. We may also send occasional updates about Salt & Saddle if you have asked to hear from us. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with
We share information only with people who help us run the studio, and only as needed. That may include HoneyBook for contracts, invoices and client details, our website host, email provider, payment provider, and a gallery platform used to deliver photographs. These providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to work with providers who protect personal information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
We do not publish your photographs on the website or social media without your permission.

Cookies
The site may use cookies or similar tools to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking them may affect some pages.

Keeping information
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we need them for the session, our accounts, and any legal obligation. Galleries are available for the period set out in your agreement. You may ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Access and correction
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@saltandsaddlephoto.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email hello@saltandsaddlephoto.com.au and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
